Earthquake hits Northeast Japan

The epicentre of the quake was about 300km (183 miles) from Kamiashi at a depth of about 33km, says report.

An earthquake with magnitude 7.3 occurred near Sendai, Honshu, in Japan on Dec 7, 2012.
Reports said that a warning for a one metre tsunami was issued for the coast of Miyagi Prefecture in northeastern Japan, which was hit by a devastating earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011.

The epicentre of the quake was about 300km (183 miles) from Kamiashi at a depth of about 33km, says report.
The quake was felt in the capital Tokyo, media reports said.
